Detailed Overview by LOB - 2019/20

"The past year has been a great year for OIT and the Transport LOB. The year also had lots of challenges that the line of business had to go through 2019/20 had been the first year the transport line of business fully completed importing the brand-new buses and have them be on the road to start generating the long-awaited revenue."
Initially, the transport line of business started operation with the first batch of 4 buses. We tested our internal processes, systems, and controls with these four buses until the remaining 46 buses arrive after a month. During this phase, we also tested some of the routes we had planned to schedule our buses in. It was a promising start. We then completed the successful import of the remaining batch. We processed all the requirements to have this latest batch start operation right away. Soon, they started operation. All 50 buses have become operational and income generating. This was an exciting phase of the company.
The revenue generated from this line of business started growing steadily. The market was absolutely impressed with the quality of buses we brought to the fair. No other competitor could stand in front of us to challenge the might and beauty of ODAA. Ultimately, we were able to raise our revenue per month up to 16 million per month, despite some of the indirect campaigns and sabotage from some of the players in the market. We were set straight to success with our rivalries far behind us. We completely took over the market and dominated the market share unrivaled.
Then, unsuspected, and unexpected phenomena started to erode the market base we stood on. The global pandemic started instilling fear and shaking confidence of tourists, hotels, and international transport systems. As a direct dependency of this, local transport system and passengers started fleeing the major cities and towns for fear of the unknown. Our business was left stranded. We started the down-ward descent with an extremely high acceleration. Our monthly revenue started flying down from 16 million to 1million and less. The sad part when this happened was some of the costs/overheads were fixed and this exposed us to a noticeably big loss we have never seen before. These phenomena were not unique to us. All other players in the same and related industry faced the same issue. Some even sold their interests and left the market for good.
